The Premier League – Week 7

With Cheltenham in full swing and St Patrick’s Day on Thursday I thought I better get my Premier League tips up nice and early. Personally I will be staying in to watch the darts at home with a few cans and once the final match is over I will pop out for a pint, gotta be done!

This week Michael Smith gets the week off and Gary Anderson plays twice. As you can see below MvG and Phil are sitting pretty in joint first but after their match Michael will probably be in pole position at the end of Thursday night.

James Wade v Robert Thornton (8pm)

No surprised here that I am siding with James wade as poor old Robert Thornton is still in the doldrums. He has only managed 1 point so far which was a draw against Peter Wright and had the lowest 3 dart average in 4 out 5 weeks that he has played.

Michael van Gerwen v Phil Taylor (8.40pm)

MvG is head and shoulders above the rest of the Premier League players at the moment and looks like I will be backing him some way or another every week. I expect MvG to win 7-3 or 7-4 but will just be doing him for a straight win as Phil is playing well again.

Gary Anderson v Peter Wright (10pm)

Gary can be erratic and this will be his second match of the night which could well be in Peter Wright’s favour. Peter has lost his last 2 Premier League matches after getting 105+ averages and if he can follow suit on Thursday night he should win a minimum of 4 legs against Gary.

  • Wade

  • MvG

  • Wright +3.5 legs
