My accumulator yesterday for round 2 was looking very dodgy but came good in the end as Robert Thornton came from 4-0 down to win 6-5 and Chizzy came from 5-2 down to win 6-5 too.
It’s going to be jammed packed tomorrow with 4 round of darts being played with Michael van Gerwen kicking off at midday against at Mervyn King. I will be posting the rest of the tournament tips on Facebook and Twitter due to the frequency of the matches and I will update on here when I get a chance.
Although this tournament isn’t televised you can watch every match for free on Betfair. You don’t need to have a bet on a match to watch it, all you need is to have money in your account.
If you haven’t got a Betfair account yet click here to get the BET £10 & GET £30 FREE offer for all new accounts. As the offer suggests, once you have put on a £10 bet with the sportsbook, not the exchange, you then get 3 x £10 free bets.
White v Murnan (2.30pm)
Joe Murnan won his first ranking tournament last year beating Dave Chisnall 6-4 in the final. In his first match he played well in all areas to beat seasoned campaigner Terry Jenkins 6-4. His stats for that match were 103.85 average, 55% on his double, 110 checkout & 3 180s.
Ian White only just fell over the line winning against a qualifier 6-5 with just a 3 dart average of 89.65 and 32% on his doubles.
I am on the outsider Joe here who is available for the straight win at 9/4 but as it’s a short format there is more to be had if you opt for the correct scores of 6-5 & 6-4 instead.
Murnan To Win (1/2 point) 6-5 at 8/1 – Betvictor, Tote & Betfred
Murnan To Win (1/2 point) 6-4 at 10/1 – Betvictor
I have selected 3 form players who played pretty well in round 2 to beat 3 players who had averages in the 80s.
