World Matchplay – Outright Wins / Trades (2)

James Wade darts player

I am having two additional bets here as I think the winner will come from the bottom half of the draw. These two bets are just cover bets for main outright win tip.

James Wade

James says that he feels more at home playing here than at any other venue and I can see why as he has made the final here six times in the last ten years. So I have to have him on my side to make the latter part of this tournament. He has a tough draw as in theory he would have to beat Phil Taylor in the quarters, Gary Anderson in the semis and MvG in the final to win here for the second time, which would be a tall order.

But as he beat Phil and Gary in recent World Series matches, making the final wouldn’t be that much of a shock to me. If I back him now to win his quarter I am am sort of getting 9/2 for him to beat Phil which is a good price as he would probably be around 7/4 on the day.

Phil Taylor

Phil also loves it at the Winter Gardens as he has the best all time record with 15 titles under his belt. He is playing really consistent this year only losing to the top players, so based on that he is ideal to trade as a plan B to my tip above and as a cover bet in case Gary Anderson slips up.

I will advise when to lay him back.

y 15 o. So as I mentioned in my previous post that I don’t fancy MvG at all, I am backing Phil as he has been playing really steady for all of 2016 only losing to the top players as a plan B really.

But as I don’t fancy him to win outright I will trade him instead, ideally laying him back before he potentially meets Gary Anderson in the semis. But I will advise exactly when depending what happens.
