I really wish that that the snooker authorities would give the players three months off after the World Championships rather than spacing out the tournaments at the start of the season as it’s really tricky to see which players are in form with three weeks in between each tournament.
The Paul Hunter Classic starts on Wednesday which is basically an ETC/PTC or a pro-am with the final on Sunday and coverage will be on Euro Sports.
Jimmy White has shed a lot of weight according to the green baize grapevine to try to help prolong his career, so I will be looking forward to seeing the new and improved slimline Jimmy who recently got a 147 in practice which is up on You Tube here.
I am putting this tip up nice early as I have just had a peek at the betting and I don’t think this price will last much longer. I can’t seem to find a coherent draw anywhere yet and as soon as I do I will put up a second outright win post.
There is a serious lack of talent lining up for this tournament which is the main reason why I have gone for Mark here and if the betting is anything to go by all he has to do is turn up. Mark is the 4/1 favourite followed by Stuart Bingham 14/1 & Kyren Wilson 16/1.
Ideally if Kyren is in the other half of the draw I will be backing him too as either a quarter winner or each way.
