Well last night we saw the exit of Phil Taylor who beat Michael van Gerwen in the final of the Champions League Of Darts two weeks ago. It is a tournament that throws up the shock results as Phil has won this tournament eleven times and has had five first round exits.
Round two starts tonight and concludes on Wednesday with it being the first to three sets and there are four matches for each night.
I have to say that the crowd has been pretty quiet so far and I hope it livens up as I will be there on Wednesday night.
I have had a poor tournament so far as I haven’t tipped a winning bet yet, but tonight is the night where that all changes!
Terry Jenkins v Benito van de Pas (7.10pm)
Benito played OK in his first round match and is the favourite here to win, but I will be taking him on tonight. As this tournament is all about doubles I am siding with Terry Jenkins here as he got 73% on his finishing doubles in his last match.
I can’t seem to find any stats on starting doubles which would be useful, so if any of you have seen any please let me know where.
Terry is best priced with the bookies at 5/4 (2.25) with Boylesports, Betfair Sportsbook & Black Type but as you will always get better prices on outsiders on Betfair’s exchange I will be putting my money with them as price is always king with me.
