I am only getting stuck in to two matches on Saturday, the first two. I see no point in betting in the van Gerwen v Whitlock match as all prices are too short to bother with and I don’t like betting in an Adrian Lewis match as he is too inconsistent.

Mensur Suljovic v Jelle Klaasen – 7pm
I really like these two players as both have improved significantly over the last 18 months or so, in particular Mensur.
I am struggling to pick a winner in this match as it’s easy to make a case for both of them. But one thing is for sure and that is it will be a close match. I wouldn’t be surprised if each leg goes with the throw for most of the match with the person struggling at the end losing.

James Wade v Robert Thornton – 8pm
What has happened to Robert Thornton since he beat Michael van Gerwen in the final of the World Grand Prix in Dublin in 2015? He flopped in the Premier League in 2016 and has been omitted this year so while he is in free fall I will be taking him on.
James should win this it’s just a matter of by how much!
