It’s the first to eleven legs and the first match starts at 7.15pm with coverage on ITV4 from 7pm.
The final starts about fifteen minutes after the second semi-final, I should have a tip for that match and I will have it up on here as soon as possible.
Phil Taylor v Gary Anderson 7.15pm
I have been so impressed with Gary’s matches so far as he has been strong on all fronts and at this stage I think he is likely to win the tournament outright, but as MvG tends to get better as tournaments progress, I won’t back Gary to win outright just yet.
Gary should beat Phil here and has been particularly better on his 180s as he has managed 15 so far compared to Phil’s 9, but at odds of 1/3 I will have give it a miss.
So it’s a Gary win for me here and I will also go for a Gary win with a bit in hand as his stats are significantly better than Phil’s. Not bad for a guy who has hardly thrown a dart since the World Championships!
Michael van Gerwen v Adrian Lewis 8.15pm
I have always found Adrian Lewis to be an over rated player as there is only so long that you can dine out on being a two times World Champion. I would love to back MvG for a hat trick here (win, most 180s & the highest checkout) but he is a bit dodgy on his doubles with an average of 36.5% and he only got three 180s in his last match.
So it’s an easy win for The Green Machine here.
