World Grand Prix Snooker Betting Tips – Thu 9th Feb (Quarter Finals)

Some big names have fallen by the wayside and other top players like Shaun Murphy and Neil Robertson seem to have got their mojos back!

We are down to the last eight players and it’s still the first to four frames. Every match from here on will be televised with the quarter finals looking like this:-

Neil Robertson v Barry Hawkins (Thu 7pm)

Martin Gould Joe Perry v Liang Wenbo (Thu 9pm)

Mark King v Marco Fu (Fri 1pm or 3pm)

Ryan Day v Shaun Murphy (Fri 1pm or 3pm)

On to tonight’s matches.

Neil Robertson v Barry Hawkins (7pm)

Both of these players played really well earlier this afternoon and were the underdogs in their matches. Robbo beat The Ronald 4:1 and Barry beat Judd Trump 4:1.

It’s nice Neil playing well again as he has been in the wilderness for way too long and with both players playing well I have to opt for a close match here.

I watched Neil play earlier and although he didn’t get a century his break building was pretty good and he managed four half centuries in five frames (83, 80, 70 & 56). He just seemed a bit unlucky with an unlucky canon here and an unlucky kiss there, that hindered his chances of a ton plus break.

I didn’t see Barry play as that match wasn’t televised, but he too managed four half centuries in five frames; 86, 73, 72 & 65. So I expect that one of them will knock in a century tonight.

Joe Perry v Liang Wenbo (9pm)

Both players won deciding frames this afternoon and I am expecting more of the same tonight.

Neither players managed a century earlier today, so I will give the breaks and centuries markets a miss here.
