We are down to the final eight and it’s the first to six frames in this round. To me this really is the final; with the winner of this match being the eventual winner of the tournament.
It has been a great tournament so far from a spectator’s point of view as we got to see some future stars rather than the same old faces.
Judd Trump v Barry Hawkins (2pm)
Personally my gut says that Barry is the winner here, but my head says a close match which will cover more bases, so it’s over 7.5 frames for me in this match.
It’s such a shame that the two best players left in the tournament are playing this far back from the final.
If you prefer one player over the other to win this match it is probably best to back your fancy to win outright, rather than win this match. That’s what I am doing…but I am backing both!
Stuart has a soft draw and really just has to turn up with his cue and a piece of chalk to secure his place in the final against either Judd or Barry.
So rather than back Stuart to beat Stuart Carrington, I will trade him by backing him now to win outright and ideally lay him back in the final for a free bet on him, well that’s the plan anyway, but we will have to see how it pans out!
