Snooker – Players Championship Outright Win

Snooker has never been more open than ever before and it’s becoming more and more difficult to pick tournament winners. Take this season for example, Anthony Hamilton and Mark King won their first ranking tournaments in over 20 years as professionals!

So for now I think laying one of the favourites is the way to go.

Judd is paying well, Robbo is looking good once more, Barry is winning, Shaun is back on his game with his new contact lenses, Fu is winning and so is the world number one number one Mark Selby.

As long as the bookies keep making The Ronald a favourite I will keep laying him.

Over the years I have noticed that whenever The Ronald starts playing up like he did in the ITV studio after his first round win, he tends not win tournaments. To me it’s a sign that he isn’t in the right frame of mind to compete at the high standard that he is capable of.

Yes I got my fingers burnt for The Masters when he won, but how can he be a tournament favourite again when he has only won one tournament over the last twelve months?

Now I didn’t lay Ronnie at the start as I thought he would beat Liang in his opening match which he duly obliged, but I will now as he is has dropped from 9/2 to 7/2.
