Well Judd managed a 147 and then lost 5:3 in his next match, so I just have the one outright win tip left here, which I will probably (not definitely), let run its course.
I was genuinely thinking of laying Trump back before his match with Vafaei, as I am aware of how under rated he is, but Judd’s 147 put me off!
I have a double that covers both semi-finals.
Vafaei v Williams (7am GMT)
Hossein Vafaei is much better than his ranking suggests and he managed two centuries in his last match compared to Mark Williams’s highest break of only 52 in his previous 5:1 win over Shaun Murphy, which is a bit mind boggling to be honest.
Also Mark isn’t one for getting high breaks as he can often be seen to not make much of an effort to get a century once a match is won as he prefers just to get on with the next frame.
Selby v Wilson (12.30pm GMT)
I have mark to win outright at 5/1 so there is no point backing him to win here in any win market. But he has managed five centuries so far compared to Kyren Wilson’s one.
